Bolaven Plateau

The Bolaven Plateau is an elevated region in southern Laos. Most of the plateau is located within Champasak Province of Laos.

The scenic Bolaven Plateau in Laos is bordered by the Annamite Mountain ranges. The high elevation of the plateau, the fertile volcanic soil, ambient temperature, ample rainfall make it highly suitable for growing high-quality Arabica Coffee.

95% of Laotian coffee is harvested in the Bolaven Plateau. Laos is one of the few countries in the world able to boast about its high-quality coffee beans

This estate is named after the nearby Koungtoun village, located 20 km from Paksong village in Champasak province. Running through the Estate is a small stream known as Hoysoy River. Dedicated to growing Arabica Coffee, the Estate spreads over 790 acres of largely flat land with an average elevation of 1100m.

The Arabica beans produced in Laos “are known for their medium body and a combination of mild citrus and floral tones.”
